Welcome to our latest exhibition
Wearable technology is very topical but nothing new, as this collection of forgotten historical hats illustrates.
Exhibits include the world's first personal audio player and head-up display, in their time known as The Edison Rancher's Phonograph and The Velocity Officer's Helmet; alongside headwear that still seems magical today, yet was commonplace a century ago: a top hat that promised better business decisions and a fez that dispensed perfume as the sun set.
We hope that those of you unable to visit Dundee enjoy this online exhibition, which includes artefacts found and lovingly restored by a group studying Interactive Media Design and uncovered archive film footage.
